The Buick automobile clutch hookup and mechanism is improved this year with the addition of the pendulum control. A cut-away view of this pendulum is seen in the upper right corner. The pendulum is actuated by the movement of the car and on sudden acceleration it interrupts the flow of air from the power cylinder, momentarily holding the clutch in partial engagement, thus insuring a smooth pickup.
