Description: Maud Tousey Fangel is well known as the artist that captured the sweetness of babies. She drew more than 1500 pictures of her own son before he was three years old and continued capturing baby pictures that could be found in advertisements and magazines in the 1940's and 50'. Possibly this picture is of her son taking his first steps!! This adorable vintage lithograph comes in its original off white wood frame with glass overlay. The picture depicts a baby boy? with sandy brown hair wearing a pair of red overalls with yellow bunny on the yoke. Looks like baby is taking his first steps in his playpen. There's a toy horse and a swirling top in the playpen along with a baby bib tied to the wooden frame. Love those wooden beads strung along the side of the playpen! Maude Tousey Fangel's signature is located in the lower right side of the picture. The back of the picture has the original wire for hanging on the wall. Measurements: 9" by 10" Frame: Off White Wood Condition: Very very good vintage pre-owned condition. Picture and glass are in excellent condition (apologize for the window glare). Frame has paint chips and dings to be expected with a very old wooden frame. Very Shabby Chic!!! We are a smoke free studio.
