Description: I have had this 1922 No D Lincoln cent for nearly 30 years, according to the notation I put on the back of the 2x2 holder, and just came across it while going through my Lincoln collection with my youngest grandson. We examined it under a 40x power microscope and cannot detect any evidence of the "D" (Denver) mint mark. The reverse is actually stronger than a slabbed VF (thirty-five) PCGS graded weak reverse No D '22. I also have an XF in a PCGS slab which is a $2,500-plus coin. I also noticed, for the first time, that the reverse is rotated about 30 degrees, which is an excellent indicator that this is truly a weak reverse No D '22. As a collector of both coins and antiques, I have been buying and selling on eBay for more than a quarter-century (Really, check my perfect feedback, which makes me one of eBay's longest, continuously active sellers/buyers, at least according to those who work for eBay with which I have communicated over the past few years.) I am also selling here on eBay my entire PCGS registry set of Lincolns, currently ranked 14th. The 387 coins include all of the key dates in uncirculated condition, such as the1909-S VDB, 1909-S, 1910-S,1922-D, 1931-S and D mints,1955 doubled die and the 1990 no-S proof. The 1914-D and 1922 no D cents are XFs, and the entire list can be viewed at PCGS.com look for Murphey's Best PCGS Abes under the Lincoln cents, circulation and proof, with major varieties 1909-Present. This coin is not part of the set. If you have a question, please do not hesitate to ask, because as a long-retired newspaper editor who trained dozens upon dozens of reporters, I well know that the only dumb question is the one NOT asked.
