Description: Antique Vintage 1920s Blue Velvet Flapper Dress with Red Beadwork Art Deco. This is an authentic 1920s flapper era full length formal dress. It is made from a gorgons deep blue velvet. There is hand beadwork in bright red and black beads. The beadwork is of abstract florals and geometric shapes. There are small medallions stitched on as well. It is concentrated to a thick band about knee length with small sections on the top of the sleeves and at the center back waist. The dress has a high neckline with a scooped back. The skirt is bias cut giving the hem a mermaid style flare. There is a left side opening with multiple snaps for closure. The sleeves are a short cap sleeve styleThis dress is in good condition for its age but has many imperfections. There is a small tear at the neckline on the right side. There is a tear in the seem at the right waistline. The silk lining of the sleeves is almost completely shattered on both sides. The beadwork appears to be in tact except for a few loose threads and a few missing medallions.
