1909 ORIGINAL Bessie Pease Gutmann Print Framed 13.5”x15.5” SMELLING

Description: NEW INFORMATION ADDED: I took the picture apart and added more pics and measurements. Let me start by saying that back in the 80’s we anchored the corners of the print to the back of the mat with a little glue. It looks like something had been glued to the print on top and that’s why we covered it with a mat. We probably used a frame we already had and liked. The outside of the frame is 13 1/2” W x 15 9/16” H. The frame is 1” all around measured in the front. The full mat size is 12” W x 14” H. The mat inside opening is 6 7/8” W x 9 7/8” H. The line on and around the print is 7 3/16” W x 10 1/4” H. I hope I answered everything. Let me know if you need anything else. I’m happy to provide it. ORIGINAL Bessie Pease Guttmann framed and matted print from the early 1900s. It is part of the 5 Senses series. It is named “Smelling”. It could be a numbered print, I don’t want to take it out of the frame to find out. Original Print: From what I can see it is in EXCELLENT condition. Good color. Frame: 15 1/2” wide x 13 1/2” high. Very nice condition for being over 100 yrs old. Glass: There is a flaw in the glass (see last pic) Mat: Is in nice condition. There “appears” to be a thin line like a pencil line (1/4” long) toward the bottom but it’s “not”. It’s a little piece of something behind the glass that can be removed. I purchased this pretty piece over 50 years ago at an antique store. I’m downsizing and now it’s time to passing it along to someone else to enjoy. It’s coming from a smoke free home.
