Description: 1900s German Stein Tankard 20 Inlaid Thaler REPLICA Coins 1859-1871. This exquisite piece has 19 replicated Thaler (Prussian?) Coins encircling the body and 1 inlaid in top of lid. I have not dated all of them, but seems most are between 1859 to 1871. There is a small flaw on top center below lid, otherwise in remarkable condition for its age. I have tested the coins to determine if silver and did not get the blue colored reaction expected. Genuine thalers are supposedly 84%. Not saying they couldnt be but I have doubts thus listed accordingly. Manufactured by Reinhold Hankebut bottom is imprinted w Germany and the numbers 1262 as well as 13. Dated by "The Beer Stein Book: A 400 Year Illustrated History" by Kirsner & Gruhl. This must be shipped w signed & insured delivery, no exceptions.
