Description: It appears to me that this is a painting of an 18th century scene of three gentlemen socializing in a public setting or possibly a house. The men are nicely drawn in a furnished interior with lovely paneling and a leaded window. At least one of them has been hunting as there are ducks hanging at the right side. It's somewhat historical. English? American? It is signed C Roberts and is dated 1933. It is unframed and measures 17 1/2" tall by 13 1/4" wide. As noted under the condition, it appears that it has been removed from a mounting (see the photo of the back) but the front is not affected. It's an original piece. I'm assuming watercolor or gouache. I can only imagine this would look quite good matted and in a fine wood frame.
