Description: 1897-1968 Northern Pacific Railroad Annual Reports Complete Run COMO SHOPSOnce in a Lifetime find!This incredible grouping came from former head supervisor of the Como Shops in St. Paul Minnesota. I happened by chance to run in to him at a garage sale he was having. There was a Northern Pacific Brakeman's badge he had for sale. I asked him what else he had and that opened Pandoras box. He was a very interesting guy and full of great stories. He was considered an expert in rolling stock, and companies would fly him up until a few yewars before he passed away, to inspect vintage rolling stock that they were using on the roads, for it to be road certified. This even included Barnum & Bailey circus trains. He served in WWII in a railroad division in France. I enjoyed talking to him, and wish I would have spent more time with him, alas he passed on a few years ago. I have sold off most of what I acquired from him, other than a couple small pullman car brass shelves. This grouping of reports came from him and I am sure it was the road archives from the Como shops. For the most part, these are in very clean condition , with any noticeable condition issues mentioned(I might have missed some things, but was pretty careful going over the lot) The cover paper on the pre 1920's issue is a bit fragile, thus the damage you will see on issues. Damage on these issues, is, for the most part, only on covers.Most of issues 1898-1899 through 1929 have maps(those that do not are noted) The road attached these with glue to an inside cover. Any that do not have maps during these years I mentioned with the words: no map. There is a sample of a map shown.Full run of annual reports from 1897(1st report) to 1968 , 71 Issues total.
