Original cards from this set are now more than 125 years old and an individual card of the most common player will cost hundreds of dollars in top condition. This card is reproduced in close-to-the- original 1-1/2" by 2-3/4" size (being 1-5/8" by 2-3/4") and colorized image of a prominent player of the era. The back carries a checklist of the set, starting with "Base Ball Players". In those days, the game was a two-word affair. Here is an opportunity to acquire a reprint of a very scarce card at a affordable price. This reprint was issued in the 1980s by the venerable Card Collectors Company of Franklin Square, New York - whose annual catalogs were perused with care by hobbyists for decades.
