Binding intact. Please see photos. Bastian Anastasius Dahl (1851-1895) was a Norwegian linguist, archivist and author. He was the soon shipowner Nicolay Peter Dahl (1822-1890) and Louise Johanna Gørvell (1824-1897). He studied philology and archeology at the Royal Frederiks University in Christiania and at the University of Copenhagen. Dahl was awarded the Crown Prince's gold medal in 1880 for this thesis: "On the particle 'ut': its meaning, development and syntactic use," and received several scholarships which again brought him into Europe.
