It is from the 1876 edition of Stieler's Hand Atlas, published in Gotha by Justus Perthes. The publisher and date are shown on the map in the bottom margin and the name of the atlas is in the upper right corner. The name of the cartographer, S. bon Stulpnagel is stated in the title area. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. The Stieler maps are some of the most detailed of the 19th century in the German tradition of cartography. Size: The map image measures approximately 12 by 16 inches on a 15 by 18 1/2" page as seen in the pic with a wide margin all around for framing as seen in the main pic. Condition: The map is in Good to Very Good condition with original handcolor, blank on the reverse, printed on strong paper with a centerfold as issued. It is basically as seen in the pics with darkening around the edges and a couple of brown spots on the map, othwise the map image is very clean with nice strong color that would frame up well, see the pic for more on condition.
