Description: An original hand signed 1863 “One Hundred Dollars” note issued by “The State of Louisiana” from Shreveport, Louisiana. The note has the hand inscribed serial number “329” at right side. The note features an intricate engraving of the proposed state capitol building that was never built and a portrait of then Governor Thomas O. Moore at upper left. After the Civil War, he fled first to Mexico and then on to Cuba. He was pardoned by President Andrew Johnson. It has the ornate back in greenish blue. The note will be shipped in a protective sleeve with a dated, hand signed Letter of Authenticity with a photograph of the currency above.
