Two historical society bookplates, without other ex-lib markings (one bookplate has an inscription noting that the book was donated to the Dorchester Historical Society by James B. Clapp of Boston in 1861). Moderate external wear, fading, a little staining, a touch of fraying. A few ink-stains to textblock edge not bleeding noticeably onto page surfaces. Pages lightly yellowed with occasional foxing, minor blemishes. Binding firm. VG minus.
