This very scarce work is illustrated with wood cuts by Samuel Williams, a British wood-engraver, known for his miniatures and landscapes. A copy is held at the Victoria and Albert Museum Libraries. It includes 8 full page illustrated plates and has a hand coloured fronts piece map of the United Kingdom.A very scarce work.A work on British history for children with a description of the public buildings in London. Overall Condition: All pages present. Spine is missing and front and back boards are very loose and have seen better days. There are stains and foxing. There is a dedication on the front page dated 1840. It has a sticker of the book seller on the front board statingsold at Cotelee's Printing office. A stationary repository Hounslow.
