Description: PCGS authenticated and graded MS 63 BN. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate very delicately mottled with slightly darker chocolate brown. Sharply struck and very attractive. The only notable mark is a dull nick hidden near the dentils off the end of the lower hair strands. Otherwise just trivial contact marks and a small spot of darker chocolate toning just left of the mouth. Intermediate die state, Breen II, with a diagonal crack through the center of the reverse and a hint of swelling in that area indicating the die was failing. Tied for CC#3 in the Noyes census, his photo #68583. Ex; Bowers & Merena 11/2008:1137 - Regency Auction 29, Legend Rare Coin Auctions, 11/2018:7 - Martin Logies 4/18/2020 - Walter J.
