Description: 1786 Vermont Copper, Bust Left, RR-11, R4, double struck, PCGS VF detail. 141.8 grains. A very rare error strike for the type. For as crude as the RR-10, 11, 15 group of varieties tend to come in terms of planchets and die work, surprisingly few errors are known. This piece was struck twice with about a 10 degree rotation between strikes. Doubling is noted throughout, particularly interesting on the pole hand of the reverse figure which was already doubled in the die.
