Upon arrival, unpack blackworms immediately. They need to be rinsed and placed into the fridge as soon as possible as the shipping process is stressful. It is common for worms to not be moving and to have expelled water. With proper care, they will start moving again and reabsorb any water weight excreted during shipment.Place blackworms in a fine mesh net and rinse with cold tap water. Gently rub the worms with your hands to get off any grime from the old water. Pour blackworms into a container which is large enough to leave the worms in a thin layer. Keeping them too crowded will kill them as some will not be able to reach the surface to breathe. Add pre-chilled, dechlorinated water to the container so the water level is just covering the worms. Again, they need to reach surface to breathe. Place your container in the fridge with no lid. Keeping a lid on the container will kill them. Repeat this process once daily. The worms will live for months if kept properly.
