1546 Abberton Essex 16th century Henry 8th manuscript Latin Vellum Document

Description: Original hand written vellum document from the reign of King Henry 8th. Contents are in Latin. Measures 12½ inches by 10 inches. Relates to Essex. I cannot read the document so my description of the contents will be limited. The reign of the monarch year is at the end of the document: Henry Octavi. The date is written on the reverse - 15 Oct 154.. (it looks like either 1540 or 1546). Relates to Abberton and Fingringhoe in the County of Essex. Also mentions Peldon. Names I have seen mentioned in the document include: John Hardy of Peldon, Husbandman. Robert Hardy. William Crall (?) and Reginald Hollingworth. Robert Fawkes, William Fawkes, Thomas Fawkes and Gregory Fawkes. CONDITION. Contents complete. Original fold lines. One tiny pin hole (contents not affected). Otherwise no holes or tears. A few original ink spots but contents are clear and free of fading. Retains the original vellum tab but the wax seal is lacking. Good condition. Please see my other listings for similar documents
