It is the 15c Oliver Wendell Holmes re-engraved Type II single. The gummed definitive is perf. 11 x 10½. The 1979 Prominent Americans variety was assigned number status based on the slight design changes that were made when it was re-engraved. The original Type I printing was issued in 1968 (sold separately). See magnified images below for helpful information about the different types. TYPE I TYPE II The best way is to look at the shading in the tie. Type I is close to the coat at the bottom. On Type II the tie clearly doesn't touch the coat at bottom. Also the third shading line on the tie from the bottom on Type II is broken. Shading on Type I is more solid.
