Description: 100+ Purple Iris Flower Seeds Irises will bloom best in full sun, meaning at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day. They can tolerate as little as half a day of sun, but it’s not ideal. Without enough light, they won’t bloom well. They will reach 2 to 3 feet in height. Plant the seeds in autumn after the summer heat has cooled. In late October or early November. Select a bed with well-drained soil in full sun. Prepare the soil and remove all weeds in the bed where you will plant the irises. Press each seed about 1/2 to 3/4" inch deep and a few inches apart. Now let nature take its course. Watch for the baby irises to grow in the spring. About half of the seeds should have sprouted. Be careful-they look like grass at the seedling stage until they develop leaves. Once they are a few inches tall, they can be transplanted if you want to move them. The seeds that did not sprout the first year may very well sprout the second year, and you’ll have yet another crop of baby plants.PAYMENT: REQUIRED WITHIN 3 DAYS UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE.
